First issued in November 2009, Faculty & Administration News (FAN) is a quarterly publication of Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology. The aim of this newsletter is to share with readers the many accomplishments of ICSST's faculty and administrators.

In This Issue:

  • ICSST is awarded Phase 1 grant, in the amount of $50,000, in connection with the Pathways for Tomorrow Initiative of the Lilly Endowment.
  • Patrick R. Manning, Ph.D., is named a Lilly Faculty Fellow, and is awarded a Lilly Faculty Fellows Program grant in the amount of $8,000.
  • Justin M. Anderson, Ph.D., chosen among researchers of the year for Seton Hall schools and colleges as the SHU Researcher of the Year.
  • ICSST's Center for Diaconal Formation hosts renowned speaker and author Reverend Jacques Philippe for virtual presentation on "Spiritual Fatherhood:  A Call to All Men," designed for priests, deacons, seminarians, religious brothers, and lay men involved in pastoral work.
  • ICSST sponsors Lenten reflection series featuring video reflections by Reverend Monsignor Joseph R. Reilly, S.T.L., Ph.D., and Dianne M. Traflet, J.D. '88, S.T.D., and receiving more than 9,400 visits to the video reflection webpage.
  • ICSST sponsors "That All May Be One":  Catholic Models of Inclusion by the Light of the Love of God, virtual roundtable discussion as part of April’s Celebrate Love Month at SHU.
  • Reverend Pablo T. Gadenz, S.S.L., S.T.D., Gregory Y. Glazov, D.Phil. (Oxon.), and Jeffrey L. Morrow, Ph.D., serving as editors of new series, Verbum Domini, which aims to provide books useful for seminary courses in Scripture and related theological disciplines.
  • Joseph P. Rice, Ph.D., serves as invited presenter at symposium Homo Curator:  The Ethics of Consumption, sponsored by the Las Casas Institute of Blackfriars Hall, at the University of Oxford, England.
  • Five publications, including book chapter by Reverend Monsignor Thomas G. Guarino, K.H.S., S.T.D.
  • More than 50 pastoral and professional presentations.
