Updated Time & Attendance Procedures

Until further notice from the University, the following attendance and time keeping procedures will be in place:

Absences Due to Illness
Employees who are unable to report to work due to illness should notify their supervisor. Employees able to perform their duties remotely and feel well enough to do so may work remotely with the approval of their supervisors. Employees unable to perform their duties remotely, or are not approved to do so, must utilize any accrued but unused sick time and enter same on their attendance reports.

Absences Due to COVID-19 Daily Checklist Symptoms
Employees who are unable to report to work due to COVID-19 Daily Checklist (Symptom Tracking) symptoms should notify their supervisor. Employees able to perform their duties remotely and feel well enough to do so may work remotely with the approval of their supervisors. Employees who suffer from such symptoms and are unable to work remotely, or not approved to do so, should enter the SC2 code on their attendance reports as the leave time will not be charged against any accrued but unused sick time.

Absences for Quarantine Because of Exposure to a Positive COVID-19 Person
Employees who are under quarantine because of exposure to an individual who tested positive for the COVID-19 virus should notify their supervisor. Employees able to perform their duties remotely and feel well enough to do so may work remotely with the approval of their supervisors. Employees unable to work remotely because of the nature of their position should enter the SC2 code on their attendance reports as the leave time will not be charged against any accrued but unused sick time.

Absences for Quarantine Because of Travel into New Jersey from a Location on the Incoming Travel Advisory List
Employees who are under quarantine because of travel into New Jersey from a location on the Incoming Travel Advisory list should notify their supervisors.

Employees able to perform their duties remotely while under quarantine may do so with their supervisor's approval. Employees unable to work remotely because of the nature of their positions, or are not approved to do so, should enter the SC2 code on their attendance reports. The leave time will not be charged against any accrued but unused sick time provided that the location from which you are returning was not on the Incoming Travel Advisory list at the time of your departure.

Employees who travel to locations on the New Jersey Incoming Travel Advisory list at the time of their departure may, upon return to New Jersey, work remotely during their quarantine with their supervisor's approval.

Employees who travel to locations on the New Jersey Incoming Travel Advisory list at the time of their departure whose position does not allow remote work, or whose supervisor does not approve your request for remote work, must use their own accrued time to account for their absence.
