Hired in 1987, Dr. David Rosenthal is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Computing and Decision Sciences. Dr. Rosenthal teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in information systems. His research interests center on learning and pedagogy. In the recent past, he has had two articles published in International Journal of Artificial Intelligence in Education (with Drs. Viswanathan and Weitz) and a textbook on programming, Introduction to Programming with Visual Basic.NET, published by Jones and Bartlett (with Dr. G. Bronson). Dr. Rosenthal's latest innovation in the classroom is to make use of a digital pen which allows him to record and publish both audio and written notes from lectures.
