Seton Hall Weekend 2018  

Seton Hall parent holding her childJoin the Seton Hall community on October 19-21 for a fun-filled weekend celebrating our community spirit and the close ties enjoyed by alumni, students, faculty, staff, and the surrounding community.

The events on Saturday will start off with the 34th Annual Farinella 5K Run, followed by food, activities and games throughout the day.

On Saturday morning, WSOU 89.5 Pirate Radio will broadcast a live interview with Dr. Mary Meehan, Interim President, hosted by Brother Greg Cellini '83, of "Thank God for Monday." This interview will contain an intimate discussion with President Meehan, where she will dive into thoughts and insights about the Seton Hall community, where it is now and where it is headed.

We are looking forward to discussing with Dr. Meehan how Seton Hall is infusing its Catholic mission into its own identity so effectively. We also want to explore Dr. Meehan’s inspirations, and how they allow her to remain so motivated in her position as president," Brother Greg stated. The interview can be heard from 8:30-9 a.m. on October 20. Interview can be heard by tuning in to the radio station at 89.5 FM, or listen to the live stream at http://www.wsou.net/. " 

The day promises to have wonderful experiences for everyone, from boardwalk and carnival games, to live performances on the university green, the "SHU-Mazing Race" scavenger hunt challenge, the "Seeing Red" Walsh Gallery exhibit, food trucks, and more.

The Division of Volunteer Efforts (DOVE) will also be hosting its University Weekend Philanthropy Project, where members of the community can stop by and help make care packages for those in need. Attendees are encouraged to bring items or care packages to donate.

The men’s and women’s basketball teams will also be holding open practices for members of the community to watch and will be signing autographs for the community. There will also be opportunities to watch, soccer and volleyball games as well as baseball and softball alumni games on campus.

The Seton Village Food Truck Festival will also be taking place on Friday, October 19, where members of the community can join in on the town’s activities.
